“I sought out acupuncture following our 1st round of IVF failing. The reviews I had read of this type of treatment were mixed but I wanted to try to give myself the best chances of success for our 2nd and final round. I contacted Simin and booked a consultation straight away. Prior to this, I had no idea what was involved in acupuncture and was dubious as to whether it could have any benefit. I saw Simin twice a week for a number of months. Over this time, I found myself looking forward to the sessions, I left them feeling relaxed and in everyday life, feeling less stressed, less tired and sleeping better than I had in a long time. Simin helped to alleviate the side effects of the IVF drugs when we started our next protocol, helping to ease sickness and the head aches that I was suffering with. Simin also assisted with dietary advice and with providing Chinese herbs which I did take for a few weeks.

When it came to my egg collection, we had a whooping 33 eggs collected and the quality of these eggs were excellent compared to our initial round. We had a hatching blastocyst put back and have a further 2 top quality eggs in the freezer.

I truly believe that acupuncture played a massive part in the success of our treatment and the ultimate goal of having a baby who was born in June 2019.

She was always available for any queries, extremely flexible to fit my treatment in around my busy schedule and always ensured that I felt comfortable with what was being done.
